Fishing Report 11-27-15
Water stained; 62–65; degrees; 2.52’ high.
Black bass - have been in great quantity recently with the occasional above average quality size bass around the lake in a lot of areas, both deep on offshore structure and shallow around grass an transitional areas. My primary baits have been Lipless crankbaits, Swimbaits, Square bills, and Spinnerbaits shallow. Deep water I have been having the best success on Crankbaits, Swimbaits, Jigs, Dropshot, and Carolina Rig.
Crappie - have been hit or miss lately due to all of the water coming in and weather patterns. My most success has come on minnows and soft plastics in green and chartreuse in 15-25 fow. The crappie or still scattered and will need a little more good cold weather to really bunch them up and turn them on.
Sandbass - Magnum female sandbass have been an easy target this week. The influx of water coming into the lake has really started to make them move up into the creek on the north end earlier than usual. We have been doing well on minnows, roadrunners, and crappie jigs in green and chartreuse. Use your graph to locate small schools around the creek and watch for surface activity.
